Hi, I’m Kristy. I’m a wife and a proud mom of three amazing boys—my greatest joy and inspiration. After 15 years working as a registered nurse, life threw some serious curveballs my way. It’s been messy, overwhelming, and at times I didn’t know where to turn. Plants became a steady, grounding part of my life when things felt uncertain.

I came into this business with no formal background in entrepreneurship or office work. Most of my career was spent in fast-paced environments like surgery and recovery. The closest I came to traditional office work was during my time in clinical research. Launching and running a business has been a completely different kind of challenge—one that has stretched me in ways I never expected.

I’ve learned every step of the way through hands-on experience, late nights, online courses, and the gradual addition of houseplants to my journey. Formerly known as Kristy’s Succulent Kreations and operating under All Things Succulents, LLC, the business expanded beyond succulents to include air plants, tropicals, and a wide variety of houseplants.

Like any growing business, there have been adjustments along the way—including refining pricing and finding ways to offer better value without cutting corners. As order volume has grown, I’ve been able to reduce shipping and delivery costs, allowing me to adjust pricing in ways that are both customer- and budget-friendly.

Whether you’re new here or returning after a previous experience, my commitment remains the same: to keep improving every day and to create a plant experience that feels accessible, intentional, and worth coming back for.

That commitment is now showing up in exciting, tangible ways—the addition of new plant varieties in the shop, the launch of creative public workshops, and expansion into two retail locations. Whether it’s a public workshop, a private event, a corporate team-building session, a visit to the shop (which has grown and changed in big, exciting ways), or a stop at one of the retail locations recently added to the mix, you’ll see the difference.

Bloom + Thorn Botanicals grew from my love of plants and the desire to build something meaningful amid life’s ups and downs. This business reflects my journey—imperfect, resilient, and full of growth despite the thorns.

Here, you’ll find more than just plants. You’ll find a reminder that with patience, care, and a little belief, we can all bloom where we’re planted. That belief is the inspiration behind my tagline: “Bloom where God planted you—even if it’s through the thorns.”
