SHIPPING POLICY — BLOOM + THORN BOTANICALS
Due to a significant increase in order volume, we are currently shipping daily. Orders are processed 7–10 business days from the date they are placed. Processing times may extend during periods of heavy rain, heat, or freeze risks, as plants may need to dry out or stabilize prior to shipment.
Please note: Priority Shipping applies to transit speed only. It does not shorten processing time.
If you need an order expedited, email AllThingsSucculentsLLC@gmail.com and we will do our best to accommodate. Social media messages are not monitored for shipping concerns and may delay response time.
SHIPPING COSTS
Our system calculates shipping automatically, but occasionally it may overestimate postage when multiple items are combined. If this happens, we will adjust and refund excess postage.
LEAF BRUISING & NATURAL SHED
Certain varieties—including aeonium, echeveria, and other soft succulents—can bruise easily during transit. Black marks, scuffed farina, or rubbed edges are cosmetic only and do not impact plant health.
Dormant or semi-dormant plants may have dry or shedding leaves. This is normal.
DEHYDRATION DURING TRANSIT
Some plants ship safest when slightly under-watered (e.g., donkey tail, ruby necklace, trailing varieties, full echeveria, etc.). This reduces leaf drop and bruising during movement. If your plant appears slightly wrinkled, this was intentional. A deep watering after planting will restore firmness.
APPEARANCE AFTER EXTENDED TRANSIT
Transit times longer than 4 days may cause stretching (etiolation) or temporary color fade due to darkness. Gradually reintroduce to bright light or sun to restore normal coloring. Avoid mid-day sun until fully acclimated.
SEASONAL APPEARANCE (FALL–WINTER)
Succulents shipped during fall, winter, and early spring may be smaller, greener, or less colorful due to dormancy. With proper care, they will rebound in warm seasons.
LOST OR MISDELIVERED MAIL
We are not responsible for lost, delayed, or misdelivered packages once they leave our facility. USPS and UPS control the parcel once scanned into their system.

BARE ROOT VS. POTTED
Most plants are shipped bare root or semi-bare root to prevent rot, reduce damage, and keep postage affordable. Shipping soil is messy, increases weight, and can cause rot—especially in summer.
We ship in pots only when necessary (small plants or sensitive root systems).
If you require special accommodations, please email us prior to ordering.
TRANSIT TIME NOTICE
First Class Mail can take 7–10 days (or longer). This is harmful for succulents, especially in extreme temperatures.
We strongly recommend selecting Priority Mail for faster delivery and healthier arrivals.
ORIGINATING SHIPPING LOCATION
All orders ship from Lowry, Minnesota (56349).
We currently ship within the United States only, including APO/FPO addresses.
❄️ WINTER SHIPPING POLICY
We ship year-round, but cold climates pose risk.
Customers in areas with freezing temperatures must purchase a 72- or 96-hour Heat Pack and add it to their order. Heat packs support safer transit but cannot guarantee protection once the pack expires.
Retrieve your package immediately upon delivery. If you’d like to delay shipping to avoid a cold snap, leave a note at checkout or email us.
⚠️ Bloom + Thorn Botanicals is not responsible for cold-related damage. Weather is beyond our control. Ordering during extreme temperatures is at your own risk.
🔥 SUMMER SHIPPING POLICY
Extreme heat can also cause plant loss during shipping.
Customers in high-heat regions must plan shipments around safe weather windows and may request delayed or rescheduled shipping. Retrieve your package immediately upon arrival. Do not allow boxes to sit in sun or heat—damage can occur within an hour.
